Recall of Apeks WTX Inflator

Aqua Lung has been made aware of a case of a poorly retained oral inflate button that has worked loose from an Apeks WTX inflator. If the button were to come off, the spring behind the button would also come off thereby removing the tension needed to keep the valve closed. If this were to occur in the water, it could lead to a leak of the BC contents out of the oral mouthpiece.

Do not dive with WTX BCD until it has been inspected by an authorised Apeks dealer.

Recall of Apeks 2nd Stages

This is limited to those TX, ATX, XTX 2nd stages/octopus purchased before July 2008 that have not undergone an authorised annual service. If you have an Apeks regulator or octopus that has never had an authorised annual service, regardless of how recently purchased, please take the regulator/octopus to your Apeks dealer to be visually inspected for missing diaphragm cover.

Do not dive with the regulator until it has been visually inspected. If it is not possible for you to return the regulator for inspection then please contact Apeks' Customer Service Department for assistance. Flow Analyzer Bench

In order to improve the standard of support for the equipment which Divemasters Pratama distribute, we have acquired a Flow Analyzer Bench to ensure that regulators perform according to manufacturers' specifications after each servicing and reassembly.

This facility will drive a regulator to emit measured airflows required by divers at depths as deep as 300 feet or more. Without such tests, no documentable statement can be made about regulator performance UNDERWATER.

Purchase from Unauthorised Dealers

Please note that AquaLung does not honour warranty claims for purchases made through unauthorised dealers. Such dealers include retailers who sells through mail or internet orders, including dive shops which parallel import these products. Warranty claims must be accompanied by a sales receipt from an authorised dealer. Invoices of all AquaLung regulators and BCDs sold through Divemasters Pratama will include the serial nos of the products sold, for verification purposes.

If you are unsure whether the store in Singapore, where you are purchasing the AquaLung products, is an authorised dealer, kindly contact us for confirmation. It may save you a considerable sum of money if the product is found defective later. Please help your friends by passing this information.
